Coffee was brought to Mexico by French during the 18th century, and it quickly gained ground and became very popular beverage. It started being successfully grown in Veracruz, then Chiapas, Oaxaca, Puebla, the area of Mexico south of the Tropic of Cancer, also known as the Coffee Belt. The altitudes are ideal, the soil is generous and the environment offers perfect, shaded cover for the most exquisite, aromatic and flavouful coffee beans.
