There are many materials linked closely with Mexican kitchen, but none as much as the volcanic stone. What a better way to honor the spices of Mexico than placing them in a vessel made of a lava heart of the tallest volcano in the Americas, Popocatepetl. The spice jars were made by a family of stone carvers from Puebla, from the volcanic stone mined from the sides of the Popocatepetl volcano.
