Cocuite Wood Ladle

Sold out
$25.75

A ladle with a long handle and a bird’s head-shaped end, handmade from the cocuite wood by the talented group of nahua artisans, from the south of Veracruz, Mexico. Every individual piece is sanded until smooth. The shiny finish is achieved using the beeswax. No varnish or artificial sealer are used.

The cocuite wood is known for its fast growth, and it represents one of the most sustainable solutions for fast reforestation. Its marvelous reddish color and the grain pattern make cocuite an ideal material for the cooking and table utensils.
