Stoneware
Pottery making was common in the societies of ancient Mexico, much before the conquest. The techniques evolved with time, with the arrival of majolica and porcelain. The XX century brough the high-temperature stoneware to Tonalá, Jalisco, and gave a new life to already gorgeous Tonalá pottery, frequently hand painted with beautiful and traditional local patterns.
Mexican Stoneware pieces are very resistant, with 100% lead-free enamel-like surface.
